Deaparture for Plovdiv, which is European Capital of Culture 2019 and second biggest city in Bulgaria. Coffee break on the way. Arrival in Plovdiv. It was inhabited by the Thracians, Romans, Slavs, Bulgarians, Ottomans, whose traces have turned the town into a living museum.
Walking tour in the Old Town, including the Ancient Roman Theatre, which was build in the 2nd century AD under the rule of the Roman Emperor Trajan and is nowadays considered to be the largest surviving Roman construction in Bulgaria; Roman Stadium, St. Constantine and Helena Church, Ethnographic Museum etc. Visit to the Ethnographic Museum is included. Free time.
Departure for the village of Yustina and Villa Yustina Winery . Guided visit to the Vineyard Park “Villa Yustina” and introduction to the varietal composition and terroir specifics of the region. Tour “Follow the Journey of Wine” within Villa Yustina Winery - production facilities and Enoteca. Tasting of 3 different wines, served with bread, mineral water, meat and dairy delicacies.
Return to Sofia.
