STRADUN STREET

DUBROVNIK, CROATIA

Stradun Street, also called Piazza, is the main street of Dubrovnik. Here you can find many shops and restaurants. The buildings are of the same architecture, reminiscent of Venice, and are made of stone. All buildings are of equal height, except the clock tower of the 15th century (31 meters). In its present form, the street was built after the great earthquake of 1667, when almost all its old buildings were destroyed, with the exception of the church of St. Spas and the palace of Sponza.
